Pelosi claims win over trump in the state of the union shutdown

Summary: The CNN article covers the current state of the government shutdown. Pelosi told trump that he will not be allowed to give the state of the union speech in the House chamber, and trump lashed out on Twitter by saying "She's afraid of the truth and the super left Democrats, the radical Democrats." and that he plans on giving the SOTU address at a different venue. Trump is also still having a hard time of turning the tides of his battle for the wall, when CNN asked people who they thought was winning the argument, 47% of those asked thought that the speaker (Pelosi and other government officials) were doing a better job handling shutdown talks, compared to 35% for the President.
Connection: This connects (in length of the shutdown) to the 2013 shutdown between Obama and the republican house that was solved in 16 days compared to the current 35 days. The argument with Obama's government shutdown was against the affordable care act.
Questions: Is the government going to be opened up again soon? What does it mean for trumps strength as a president if he is unable to give the state of the union speech?
Hi. Thank you for your blog post. Things move quickly, and the shutdown has now been resolved temporarily by way of a continued resolution. As usual, the President is still posing threats that he will shut down the government again or will declare a national emergency and get funding for his wall project that way. Do you know when a national emergency was last declared, and if this would qualify? Thanks.
